HP IDEA surpasses the 1 million mark
|
Launched just three years ago, HP Innovation and Digital Education Academy (HP IDEA) has impacted over one million learners and teachers across 23 countries with 32 cohorts. From Poland to Philippines, and South Africa to Saudi Arabia, from Türkiye to Tanzania, HP IDEA Fellows and Associates are at the forefront of digital education.

HP IDEA India
|
Launched in collaboration with Centre for Teacher Accreditation (CENTA), HP IDEA India will benefit over 85,000 educators and learners from across 27 cities and 14 states and, aligns with India’s ‘National Education Plan 2020’ (NEP-2020) which highlights 'Teacher Education and Development' as a key priority.

HP IDEA Moldova
|
Launched in alliance with YMCA under the auspices of the Municipality of Chișinău, the program for upskilling educators on innovation and digital pedagogy supports Moldova's Education 2030 Development Strategy which calls for increasing the quality of education by implementing digital technologies and strengthening the educational system with qualified and competent teaching staff.

HP IDEA Philippines
|
The first cohort of HP IDEA in Southeast Asia was launched in the Philippines, the Pearl of Asia.
|
Formalized in collaboration with the Department of Education and Rotary Club, the Philippines cohort is set to be one of our largest to date and supports the Philippines Education Development Plan 2030.

HP IDEA Uzbekistan
|
HP IDEA launches in Uzbekistan, the bright star of Central Asia.
|
Formalized by an MOU signing ceremony on the margins of the Tashkent International Investment Forum between Hon. Deputy Minister of Education, Temurjon Komilov, and HP’s Managing Director, Central Asia, Svetlana Vyrypaeva, the partnership brings HP’s signature teacher professional development program to vibrant Uzbekistan.

|
Many congratulations to the HP IDEA Fellows in Namibia who graduated earlier this year.
|
Kudos to them on staying the course for a full academic year. Their innovation projects were inspiring and whose impact will be felt for many years by thousands of students.

It was a privilege to watch our HP IDEA Fellows
graduate from the Ukraine cohort in December 2023 alongside Roksolana Shvadchak, Director General of the Directorate of Digital Transformation, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, and Daria Dolhova, Executive Director, EdCamp Ukraine.

HP IDEA Zanzibar
|
The first cohort of HP IDEA Fellows from the Zanzibar Ministry of Education and Vocational Training graduated in November last year.
|
Present at the ceremony were Honourable Principal Secretary Mr. Khamis Said and Technical Advisor Mr. Omar S. Saleh, MoEVT.

|
203 HP IDEA Fellows from South Africa graduated in October last year.
|

Learners are loving HP Gaming Garage
|
More than 10,000 learners from over 150 countries have enrolled onto the courses, which are available in 12 languages. This amazing resonance can be attributed to the comprehensiveness of the coursework and accelerating interest in career opportunities in Esports and adjacent industries.
|
The top 5 countries in terms of enrolments are USA, India, France, Singapore, and Mexico.

It’s time for Hackathons!
|
On 18th April, the day the UN mandated ‘International Day for Monuments and Sites’, also known as ‘World Heritage Day’, we announced the ‘GameOn with HP Gaming Garage’ hackathon, inviting university coders and gamers in Saudi Arabia to create games that showcase the rich cultural tapestry of the Kingdom.

Earlier in March, along with Dubai Esports Festival, the UAE ‘GameOn’ hackathon was announced, with select finalists having a chance to showcase their games at the 'Dubai Esports Festival' in May 2024.

YMCA Europe held a webinar in February, which focused on exploring the possibility of enabling organizations to access the unique opportunities within HP Gaming Garage, bringing the worlds of work and gaming together for the new generation.

Study courses in Spanish
|
The Spanish voiceover version of the HP Gaming Garage curriculum on Esports Management, Game Design and Game Programming was recently launched - opening doorways to the ICT, Media and Esports industry for native Spanish speakers.
|
Within just a few days of the launch, learners from 25 Hispanophone countries joined the program. Truly, the appeal of developing digital future skills through the gaming door is universal.

HP Gaming Garage Lab Oman
|
Created in collaboration with the Oman Ministry of Education and AMD, the specialized gaming lab offers students a chance to explore and develop skills in Esports Management and Game Development, and supports Oman’s ‘National Strategy for Education 2040’ vision document which lays great emphasis on digital skills development for Omani students for the new Knowledge Economy.

The first HP Gaming Garage Lab in Europe has been launched in Moldova in collaboration with YMCA and Chișinău Municipality, in a strikingly beautiful and eclectic multimodal learning space.

Housed in a historical mansion that once served as a private residence for Russian Czar, Alexander II, the main learning and development section is located in a restored wine cellar creating a unique and appealing vibe.

At the quadrennially held UNHCR Global Refugee Forum in December, HP pledged to support the cause of refugee education and skill development by providing UNHCR access to the HP Gaming Garage Professional Certificate Program in Esports Management and Game Development.

Partnering with UNDP ICPSD on HP Gaming Garage

HP and UNDP cemented their collaboration to build digital skills for sustainable development through a 'Statement of Intent' signing ceremony on the margins of the UN SDG Investment Fair and followed by a panel on ‘Strengthening Skills for Enhancing Employability in the Gaming Industry’ at the UNDP Headquarters in New York City.

South and Southeast Asia Fellowship
